Window Tinting Regulations:
Each state in Australia has its own regulations for the type of film that is allowed on passenger vehicles. The law doesn’t allow dark or highly reflective films to be put on these vehicles. Queensland has a maximum darkness of no more than 35% VLT for front 2 windows and now 20% on the rear. QLD Transport Laws
What is VLT:
VLT stands for Visible Light Transmittance. It means the amount of natural light that still comes through when you window is tinted. For example, darkest legal is 35%VLT. This reading can be read with an electronic VLT meter which we have at CT Tinting.
